Chef Joanne Ho is born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, a community rich in culture, varieties of international cuisines and a deep rooted awareness of social responsibilities. This is where Chef Joanne discovered she has food in her DNA, developed her intense passion for everything ‘food’ and desire to share.
Through her travels to remote villages in Asia, and with her Cordon Bleu training, she has created a repertoire of eclectic down-home comfort food to be shared through team building, catering, as a personal chef, cooking events and classes for causes. Her meals are diverse and full of flavor with dishes ranging from unique Asian clay pot delights, more traditional beef bourguignon, risotto made easy, an array of sauces with homemade pastas, the best darn picnic BBQ you will ever taste with homemade rubs and marinades.
As a recent retiree with a fortune 500 company in Sr. Management, Chef Joanne has expanded her efforts to share knowledge, skills and passions with ‘food insecure’ communities. Her experience expands from meal design and prep for ‘Stand Up for Kids’, ‘Cooking with Kids at Risk’ and more recent in So. Nevada, ‘Three Square Food Bank’, ‘The Cupcake Girls’ and ‘The Urban Seed Foundation’.
Food is an international language without boundaries, and everyone should have access armed with knowledge of what is good and flavorful!
